What the System is
The most important aspect of the lottery system that Duke used is hot and cold numbers. A number is hot when the amount of times it has been drawn is greater than other numbers have been drawn. That is to say that each number has an average times it will be drawn in 100 draws. A cold number is cold when it has been drawn less than average.
The goal then is to find numbers that are hot and pick them in hopes they will remain hot. Other numbers to watch out for are numbers that were cold, and just switched to hot. The chances are they will come up more frequently for the next few draws. Unfortunately, no system is perfect. The first thing you will notice is that there are more than six hot numbers, but you only pick six numbers for a ticket.
